What’s cheap?
better, what’s your daily budget?
Cheap for me is $150 per day. Did you try Orbitz? any of the websites?
There is a lot of motel 6 all over the city. Another option is to move in the suburb, the find something close to Hollywood.

Click the “Check Availability” button, choose your dates, then submit the form — it’ll automatically give you any discounted ‘extended stay’ rates.
Good luck!

Yes there are several. Motel 6 comes to mind. They offer them all over. Yes they have monthly rates. They go for about $50.00 a day. They have other ones that are less but kinda filthy. You just have to shop around. Best of luck to you.

I know of one: The Relax Inn. They’re a not-so pretty motel about 5 miles south of Hollywood. It might be a dump, but I called them once and they had weekly rates in the neighborhood of $300+. I never stayed there so I take no responsibility for your health or safety should you decide to stay here. But it’s directly south of Hollywood and getting there would be no problem; all you’d have to do is take LaBrea north.
Their address is:
1269 S La Brea Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90019
(323) 939-3772
Another option to find places that don’t advertise online would be to open google or yahoo maps, find Hollywood, and then search for motels under the “Search for Businesses” option. They usually provide phone numbers and you can call the places that don’t have websites and inquire on weekly or monthly rates.
If you feel like you MUST stay in Hollywood itself, the cheapest place I’ve stayed at was the Saharan Motor Lodge, which does not have a website. Another inexpensive place was the Hollywood Downtowner Inn, which DOES have a website. They were more expensive but much better than the filthy Saharan. Of course, try to book through an online travel-site to get a better deal.
